Hello everyone! I’m hoping the season is treating you right, that is without
sickness or incident.
The R.A.T. party was a great success. We had some people from as far as
Sacramento. A few rode over on their bikes. Real troopers I say in this cold
weather.
Everyone brought a dish of something delicious, so there was lots of food!
Cider, wine, Champagne and soft drinks were plentiful as well.
Jim Callahan, North American Triumph R.A.T. coordinator attended with his
manager Neil Webster, who is responsible for R.A.T. as a whole and came over
from England.
We talked about Triumphs and compared bikes, eating throughout the afternoon. I
passed out raffle tickets for door prizes which were graciously donated by
California Triumph in Mountain View. I believe just about everyone won a prize.
Roger brought his laptop and was showing the film he took of the All-British
ride. There you could see how the older British bikes handle on curves with our
new kids behind them. We thank you Roger for bringing the CD for us to view.
Greg brought out the R.A.T. paraphernalia. Nice T-shirts, great mugs and the
calendar are really put together well. For those of you who wish to look or
purchase any of these items please go to www.bayarearatpack.com or
www.cafeshops.com/barp . Thank you Greg you did a wonderful job. I especially
liked the Christmas ornament. The tree is now complete.
Ahhh, it began…. TRIUMPH TRIVIA!!!! Neil Webster even shook his head a few
times. Scott put together a very good variety of questions and the group really
had to think about some of them. We had a pretty good rally as to what everyone
thought the right answer should be. You could actually see the wheels turning
above their heads. Thank you Scott, you made people think! Prizes were handed
out and after more drinks and food were devoured everyone departed towards home.
Fun was had by all and all went home with a full stomach and the thoughts of a
Triumph Christmas.
Our next meeting will be on January 7th and will be held at the Connecticut Yankee
100 Connecticut St., San Francisco. Phone: 415-552-4440.
Until then,
Merry Christmas to all and a very wonderful "Triumph" New Year!
