Bay Area RAT

Meetings Notes - May 5, 2004

Hello everyone...

Our ride to the Mystery Spot was almost a true mystery...

After gathering at Bennigan's in Milpitas, we headed up Hwy 9 up and over through Ben Lomond to Scott’s Valley. We stopped for coffee and relaxed and then resumed our ride. We found some beautiful roads and rode a few of them over again. Lost... Even with instructions we muffed it. Ahhh, but as mysteries will have it, we finally came across a road (that we had already ridden on) and to our amazement, there were signs! We high tailed it into the Mystery Spot. It’s a great place for kids and for those who want to be a foot taller for a day. We had a very nice time. Tim and Ozzi had fun climbing the walls.

For those of you who have young ones, you might want to take them there. The guide was very pleasant and the audience was used for demonstrations.

Our next meeting will be at the Englander in San Leandro, starting at 8pm.

June 12, we will join the Bonnie riders and head north of the Golden Gate Bridge.

June 26 is our BA RAT ride to Weaverville. This will be an over night ride. Should be beautiful country up there and lots of nice roads for us to ride on.

Roger and I will be booking reservations at a Motel in the area for those who are staying. Please let either of us know if you are planning on joining us for the weekend. Either email info@bayarearatpack or call 408-506-9929.

There are still tickets available to the helmet we are raffling. You can either buy them through Pay Pal on our site or Email or call us.

As for our ride to Laguna Seca, Jim Callahan has stated that we can get tickets from RAT for a three day pass for $125.00. This will include a parade lap, sitting with the Triumph people in a restricted area with food included. RAT must have the checks before June 30th. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Checks payable to "RAT" and mail it in to TMA:
   Triumph Motorcycles America
   c/o RAT
   385 Walt Sanders Memorial Dr.
   Suite #100

All things considered, it’s been a lovely spring.

Moving along to summer. I do hope that all of you are experiencing the joys of riding your bikes in this magnificent weather.

Ride safe everyone...

Maya
