Bay Area RAT

Meetings Notes - April 7, 2004

The April Meeting was rather productive. We were able to iron out the locations of the next meetings and also hammer out a few more ride details.

Next Ride: Saturday May 1st we will meet at Cal at 7:30am to gather for the ride to Infineon. There will be an East Bay group that will gather at the former IMX at 7:30 also.
There will be three meeting times once we get to the raceway. The first will be at 9:30 at the south side of the main grandstand. The second will be at 12:30 and the last will be at 2:30 in the same locations. When the meeting gets closer I will give out my cell phone to those who request it incase you want to try to meet up with us but can not find us.

June 9th Meeting: at the Englander in San Leandro.
June Ride: I would like some feedback from all of you about the June ride. We as a group have an opportunity to ride with approximately 500 other motorcycles in a group ride. The ride is to support the safe return home of our troops. THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL RIDE !!! It is a ride to show the people over there that we are still thinking about them. Again, there is not a political tone in this ride. It is being put on by SBF (Sport Bike Freaks) and BARF (Bay Area Riders Forum). As it comes closer, more info will be available. What I know right now is that we could get hooked up with them in the Livermore area and the ride terminates in San Francisco somewhere. Please put in your 2 cents on this ride. Majority will win. The other option is the Lassen County Weaverville overnighter.

July Meeting: Duke of Edinbrugh
July Ride: Leguna Seca for the races. (Maybe a second local ride on the same weekend for those ot wanting to head south).

August Meeting: Duke of Edinbrugh
August Ride: Overnighter in Morrow Bay. We need to start a headcount for this.

September Meeting: Pinky's in Walnut Creek (possibility)
September Ride: Mt. Hamilton - Mines Road.

October Meeting: T.B.A.
October Ride: Half Moon Bay.

November Meeting: Conneticut Yankee (San Francisco)
November Ride: All British Ride.
